President, State Insurance Group

With nearly 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, Erin Gleason is an asset to clients and business partners who appreciate her knowledge, forward thinking, professionalism and ability to empower and motivate the people around her. A Florida native born and raised in Martin County, Erin credits her entrepreneurial spirit to her parents who instilled in her a never-quit mindset and taught her the importance of following the Golden Rule.

Almost immediately after graduating from the University of North Florida with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Erin eagerly welcomed the opportunity to step into a sales role at her father’s well-established insurance agency in Stuart, FL. After three years of gaining experience as an agent, she transitioned into the independent market and helped found State Insurance Agency in 2009. She now owns and runs the company with her husband, Patrick, and together they have grown State Insurance Agency into a business that is focused on providing value to their clients and the communities they serve.

Erin’s first-hand experience building a business from scratch made her recognize the need for aspiring independent agents to have the freedom and flexibility to do things their own way – thus, the idea for State Insurance Group and the company’s guiding phrase, “Your Agency, Your Way,” was born. Unlike anything else currently offered in the marketplace, SIG’s agent-focused model helps like-minded entrepreneurs navigate the industry by leveraging their abilities to work together, gaining increased access to carrier markets, and utilizing economies of scale to maximize remuneration benefits.

Erin is a member of the Florida Association of Insurance Agents (FAIA) and FAIA’s Young Agents Council. She also belongs to the Stuart/Martin County, Palm City, and Hobe Sound Chambers of Commerce, and serves as a Salvation Army disaster services volunteer. When not at work, she loves nothing more than spending time with her husband and their seven-year-old daughter. She also enjoys traveling, interior design and discovering the latest local culinary hot spots.
